To the Friends of the Reformation Society - 19 September 2019

Dear Friends

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Gender Wars

Please tune in to the latest From the Frontline podcast on www.FrontlineMissionSA.org. It will be uploaded and available on our http://fromthefrontline.podbean.com/ from 21:00 tonight, Tuesday, 17 September. We will be discussing the radical gender wars being promoted especially on university campuses and in the media. The aggressive promotion of the LGBTQ agenda and demonization of straight males, is all part of a wider world war of worldviews, a battle for the very heart and soul of civilisation. What is behind this politics of guilt and pity? Where does such guilt manipulation lead? What are its implications? How should we as Christians respond in a balanced and Biblical way? Professor Martin Luther warned: “If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at the moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. And to be steady on all the battle fields besides is merely flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

Learning from the History of Zimbabwe

Please join us at the Reformation Society, Thursday, 19 September, at 19:00 for tea and fellowship and at 19:30 for a presentation on the catastrophic destruction of what was once a breadbasket of Africa, but which has been turned into a basket case, dependent on international aid to keep its people alive. As the world has been treated to a series of unbelievable eulogies praising the deceased dictator Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, Christian integrity and love for the persecuted church and those still suffering under the Marxist legacy of Mugabe and his ZANU regime, requires us to inject some honesty and balanced perspective to counter the insidious propaganda that is being broadcast worldwide at this time. How was the paradise that was Rhodesia turned into the Marxist hellhole of Zimbabwe? What lessons can be learned to ensure that the Marxist tactics which were used to break down every aspect of life in Zimbabwe are not replicated in South Africa? “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Rhodes Cottage is run by the Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society. It is well worth a visit for those interested in Rhodesian and Cape History.
