To the Friends of the Reformation - 14 November 2017

Dear Friends

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

You Can Make a Difference

Please tune in tonight, Tuesday, 14 November at 9:15pm to Radio Tygerberg 104FM, for our Salt & Light radio programme. With critical water shortage and stringent rationing throughout greater Cape Town, with crime and grime afflicting all too many communities, with increasingly intrusive state interference in education and many threats to our children and our families…

What hope is there for the future?

What difference can one person make?

What can I practically do to reclaim Cape Town for Christ,

to be salt and light in an increasingly dark and decaying time?

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.” Isaiah 58:12

Tonight we will also open the phone lines from 9:30 – 9:40pm on 021-911-3822, for you to have your say on what we can practically do to reverse the downward trend and restore Cape Town as a free and vibrant, family-friendly city with a growing and health economy, safe neighbourhoods and a bright future.

If you live in Cape Town, you can tune in to Radio Tygerberg 104FM, or you can listen online at www.104FM.org.za through live streaming worldwide.

Is the War on Farmers State Sponsored Terrorism?

Please join us this Thursday, 16 November at 7pm for tea and fellowship and at 7:30pm for a presentation on what is behind the targeting of farmers in South Africa for such vicious attacks? “When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.” Ecclesiastes 8:11

There is no question that a war is being waged against white commercial farmers in South Africa. The question is: How much support are political leaders and government institutions providing for those responsible for this low-intensity terrorist war? We have seen the number of commercial farmers in South Africa plummet from over 70,000 in 1994, to less than 30,000 today. In 1994, the 70,000 commercial farmers in South Africa were providing enough food to feed over 100 million people. Today, with our population having doubled, the less than 30,000 commercial farmers remaining are only able to feed 40 million people. The population of South Africa is now over 50 million. For the first time in our history, we are needing to import food to survive.

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil… who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.” Isaiah 5:20-23

Even more importantly, what can we do to better protect our families and loved ones?

“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing….” Isaiah 61:8

“Hate evil, love good; establish justice in the gate… let justice run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream!” Amos 5:15,24
