Transforming our Communities

We want God to bless our nation - but God cannot bless a nation in rebellion to His Laws. We cannot expect God to bless a country that kills babies - legally - with taxpayers' money, which legalises and tolerates blasphemy as entertainment, which removes Bible education from the public schools and promotes perversion.

"See the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." Nehemiah 2:17

Work for Reformation by Establishing a Christian Calendar:

1. Start the year with the Great Commission Camp (2-6 January 2015) and Course. Sponsor missionary candidates to participate in the Great Commission Course (2-21 January 2015), held by Frontline Fellowship near Cape Town. Invest in young people by providing them with a dynamic programme of Discipleship Training and go through The Way of the Master and Evangelism Explosion training programmes.

2. Celebrate Sanctity of Life Sunday by preaching on the Sanctity of Life - closest Sunday to 1 February (25 January 2015).

3. Observe the anniversary (1 February) of the legalisation of abortion on demand in South Africa as a National Day of Repentance (We will march to Parliament on Monday, 2 February 2015).

4. Attend the KwaSizabantu Ministers' Conference in Kwa-Zulu Natal (first week in March every second year next year it will be from 9 -11 March 2015).

5. Use Human Rights Day (Saturday, 21 March 2015) as an opportunity to campaign for the most basic right of all - the right to life of the most helpless and innocent of all - pre-born babies.

6. Observe Good Friday as the most solemn holiday of the year contemplating the sacrifice of Christ that redeemed us from our sins (Friday, 3 April 2015).

7. Celebrate Resurrection Sunday as the most joyous holiday of the year. We serve a risen Saviour. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life (Sunday, 5 April 2015).

8. Celebrate Ascension Day (Thursday, 14 May 2015). Forty days after Easter Sunday, Jesus ascended into Heaven. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. He has all authority in Heaven and on earth. We must therefore go and make disciples of all nations teaching them to obey all things that the Lord has commanded.

9. Celebrate Pentecost Sunday (Sunday, 24 May 2015) - the official birthday of the Church. We need to continually go on being filled with the Holy Spirit.

10. Use National Women's Day (Sunday 9 August 2015, outreaches will be on Monday 10 August) as an opportunity to campaign against the exploitative pornography industry.

11. Promote International Life Chain Sunday (the first Sunday in October) with a prayer vigil and placard protest against abortion at a busy intersection in your city (4 October 2015).

12. Celebrate Reformation Day (Friday, 31 October 2014) either by participating in the Reformation Celebration in Franschhoek, or by organising a special seminar or service at your church or school.

13. Observe the International Day of Prayer (IDOP) for the Persecuted Church (second Sunday in November) each year (9 November 2014).

14. Celebrate Christmas (Thursday, 25 December 2014), as the official birthday of the King of kings. Remind family and friends that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Wise men still seek Him. Christmas is a great time for Evangelism, reaching out to the poor and lonely, for Christ-centred Christmas cards, e-mailings and social media posts to relatives and witnessing to strangers. Put Christ back into Christmas.

"Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell in." Isaiah 58:12

Tour of Huguenot Monument and Museum, Franschhoek

Western civilization has been blessed with the greatest freedoms, productivity and prosperity ever known in history. The liberty, standards of justice and creativity enjoyed in Western civilization are a direct result of the Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century.
